This kitchen and first floor renovation consisted of removing bearing and non-bearing walls that separated the kitchen, living room, and dining room to create a spacious open floor plan. A micro lamb beam was installed to carry the load where the bearing wall was removed. Knee walls were left to provide safety around the stairwell. New kitchen cabinets were installed with Silestone countertops and marble tile was installed on the floor. Recessed lighting installed in the kitchen. The existing hardwood floors in the living and dining room were refinished at the end of job. As with all of our structural jobs the micro lamb beam load capacity was calculated, then submitted to the county building department on architectural drawings, inspected and approved by the county.
